Tammie Jo Berg

Tammie Jo Berg - After being an EMT for 20 years Tammie Jo saw definite connections between the body, mind and spirit and began to explore alternative health. She became certified in Healing Harp practices where the vibrations of the strings have definitive healing effects on a client. She received her 200 hour yoga and meditation certification through Deepak Chopra’s 7 Spiritual Laws of Yoga and Primordial Sound Meditation. In 2016 she was introduced to Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese healing art through gentle touch (similar to acupressure) and offers touch healing sessions by appointment, incorporating a mixture of healing modalities, including crystals and sound.  She recently finished up a certification in the F.I.X Code. She works with individuals, businesses, corporations, schools and organizations to bring healing through body, mind and spirit, and to reduce stress in the workplace by offering mindfulness and yoga classes.

Personally, Tammie Jo is an entrepreneur, cancer survivor, wanderluster, yoga/mediation enthusiast, energy healer, musically moved, nature lover offering healing and blessings to bodies of water and Earth ley lines.

Jan Kitzrow

Jan is a certified 200 hour Yoga Instructor and has been Belly Dancing for 12 years. She invites anyone looking for a low impact, fun workout to join her classes.

Belly Dance has many origins, but most traditions are associated with several movements of the hips and various isolation movements.  General movemetns are:

-Percussive Movements: Staccato movements which punctuate music or accent a beat.

-Fluid Movements: Flowing to interpret a melodu and create different textures while slowly moving different parts of the body.

-Shimmies: Small, fast continuing shiverring type movements to create a vibration.

Inbeginning Belly Dance, all 3 movements will be used in various ways. We will warm up for about 20 minutes. Then lean some basic Belly Dance steps like Egyptian, Hip Rolls ( figure 8s), Snake Arms, &  Camel Walking. The music is great and the dancing is really fun! We’ll cool down with a 10 minutes of yoga stretches.

A long, loose skirt or yoga pants with a light loose top is recommended. If you have some exotic clothes or a costume you want to wear - I encourage it. Some ladies will wear flowers or metal head bands and Egyptian/Indian jewelry . A coin skirt is also recommended and makes a  fabulous sound!

Be ready to flow, shake and be amazed at how good it feels!
